The Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA)
The Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) is a parastatal Educational Institution established by the Institute of Accountancy Arusha Act of 1990.
The overall control and supervision of the Institute is vested in its Governing Council.
The Institute has over time developed a total number of thirty-seven academic programs from Basic Technician Certificate, Ordinary Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, and Master’s Degree.
The Institute also conducts short-term Courses and Seminars, many of them tailored to client needs.
In addition, it undertakes consultancy and research activities as part of its Mission.
Through these interventions, IAA aspires to develop lasting partnerships with Industry, the Government, and non-Governmental Organizations.
The objectives and functions of the Institute are to:
<> Provide facilities for the study of and training in the principles, procedures, and techniques of accountancy and related subjects as the Governing Council may from time to time decide.
<> Conduct courses leading to professional qualifications in Accountancy and related Disciplines.
<> Sponsor, arrange and provide facilities for Conferences and Seminars for discussion of matters related to Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics, Information Technology, and other Management Sciences.
<> Conduct research, and offer consultancies to business organizations, government, non-governmental organizations, and arrange for publication and general dissemination of study materials in connection with the work activities of the institute.

How to apply for IAA admission online (Via IAA OAS)
This is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the Institute of Accountancy Arusha.
To apply for admission, follow the steps below;
Step 1: Access the IAA Admission website
website https://iaa.ac.tz/
Step 2: The IAA online application system will open
Navigate to the Undergraduate or postgraduate section and read the available instruction carefully.
Step 3: Registration
Navigate to the registration link and fill in the required information to complete your registration. The information needed during the registration stage includes
- First name
- Surname
- Email Address
- Mobile Telephone Number
- O-Level index number
To finalize registration, you will need to put in a password of your choice that you will use whenever you wish to log into the admission system.
If you are successfully registered, then the system will send you an email or SMS. Please log in to your email account and use the link sent to your email to activate your admission account.
Step 4: IAA online application login
Login to IAA OAS by using your Username and password. Complete your registration by providing your basic information such as gender, marital status, and date of birth, among others.
Step 5: IAA Application fees payment
Once you have completed the registration stage, the control number will automatically be generated and you will be able to make an application fee payment and complete the application.
For a successful application, an applicant must pay a non-refundable application fee of 10,000/= TZS.

Step 6: The course selection feature
Will only be visible for filling once the application fee is paid, carefully select your courses and submit your completed application: In order to successfully complete the application; the applicant is required to complete all steps from “Home” to” Submit” your application.
