Information and Computer Studies FTNA NECTA Assessment Format PDF
This examination format for the Form Two National Assessment (FTNA) is a revised version of a format issued by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) in 2017.
The format covers the topics derived from the revised Information and Computer Studies Syllabus of Ordinary Secondary Education of 2005.
Changes made involve the improvement of the assessment rubric and the inclusion of a table of specifications – there is no change in the assessment content.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The assessment will test the extent to which the students are able to:
1 demonstrate skills of data processing and interpretation of information;
2 develop skills of using the operating system and computer handling;
3 develop practical skills in the use of computers;
4 develop skills of using the internet and its application; and
5 outline types of networks and security issues in a networked environment.
